DriveSafer-DriveSmarter program for our local community.

Vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for teens. BCF Group is committed to helping our local and regional community end these tragedies.

DriveSafer

As a parent or guardian of a teenager learning to drive, you play a critical role in helping your teen develop the habits and skills necessary to be a safe and responsible driver.

Parents and their teenage drivers are invited to attend a free event, hosted by BCF Group, entitled “Drive Safer! Drive Smarter!” This interactive seminar is designed to ensure the next generation of drivers has the skills they need to stay safe on the road.

TEEN SAFE DRIVING SEMINAR & INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP

A FREE COMMUNITY EVENT for parents and their teens

Joey Eddins

Joey Eddins, a Lancaster County resident and former EMT for over 20 years, has a story to tell. She’s had experience at the scene of crashes that involved distracted driving. In 2016, she and her daughter, Cheyenne, became victims of a crash when their car was struck head on by a texting driver. In the months of recovery, they were determined to do all they could to end distracted driving and save lives. Joey started a non-profit organization to help the victims of these tragic accidents: www.handsfreeamerica.net

After Joey’s compelling story, Dale Amspacher will educate us on driving distractions, followed by three interactive stations:

  • Parallel Parking:  Dale Amspacher, driver education teacher for A Safeway Driving School, and Joey, AAA Driving School, will share smart driving tips and habits for teens and helpful reminders for parents.
  • Impaired Driving:  Officer Sandman, East Hempfield Township police officer, will talk about DUI checkpoints and the dangers of drunk driving, and teens can try his “Drunk Goggles” to see the distortion caused by alcohol consumption.
  • Car Crash Site:  Mike Zimmerman from Goodville Mutual will teach teens how to respond at the scene of an accident.
Attendees will receive:

  • Continental Breakfast
  • Teen Safe Driving Book
  • I.C.E (In Case of Accident) Cards
  • Auto ID Holder
  • Giveaways & Prizes
  • And More!

Space is limited and attendees must pre-register by filling out the form below, or by calling Heather Groff, BCF Group, at 717.560.7730 or by emailing HeatherG@BCFGroup.net
